Isabelle Dethan was born in 1967 and since part of her heritage is German, she speask this language fluently. As a matter of fact, her first work has been published in the German magazine SCHWERMETTALL. In 1992, she receives the Alph'Art Avenir, succeeding to her lover, Mazan, and other great artists such as Claire Wendling and Tiburse. She publishes comics in the Terres de Légendes collection from 1993 to 1995, and collaborates with Bayard Editions for Je Bouquine. In 200, she begins a new experience with an introspective comic. Then comes Ingrid, the story of a German family during the 3rd Reich.
Isabelle Dethan is a real explorer and is not scared to try out new techniques and to tackle different subjects.
