Ivan Castro was born on the outskirts of Barcelona towards the end of the ’70s. As a child he showed an abnormal level of interest in letterforms, drawing gothic forms and Superman S’s all over the place. Thirty years later, he earns a living doing more or less the same thing by way of calligraphy and lettering. He has practised calligraphy since he was 20 years old and now complements the work that he does from his studio near Barcelona for clients all over the world, with teaching in schools such as Elisava, BAU or Visions; or in conferences and workshops wherever is necessary.
