Paul Dainton is the sixth artist we've featured in the Sketch.Box collection, and we're delighted about it. You will be too! His art is rich in color and emotion, but also in the smell of battle and the heat of blood. Immerse yourself in drama and action with every turn of the page.
Paul Dainton was Games Workshop's most prolific artist during the 4th and 5th editions of Warhammer 40K. His drawings adorned army books and codexes, and could even be found every time a new box of units was purchased. This made him an emblematic Games Workshop artist.
His artistic style is based on a sense of abstraction, just like the John Blanche legend. However, he also manages to incorporate realism into the hazy aspect of battle. Paul Dainton's work generally focuses on a central figure surrounded by a “dirty” world.
