Enrique Fernandez is a comic book author born in L'Hospitalet, Barcelona, in 1975.
"I started out working in the world of animation. El Cid and Nocturna, for which I created the storyboards, are among my best-known works. I then focused on my career as a comic book author. I have published works (mostly for French publishers but translated into several languages) such as:
The Wizard of Oz (adaptation, DC script)
The Liberators (my first publication)
The Mother of Victories (published only in France)
The Island Without a Smile
Aurore
Tales of the Age of the Cobra
My latest work, Brigade, is self-published and has been released in four languages.
I divide my time between my main work as a comic book writer and my work as an illustrator and designer for the worlds of animation, video games, and board games. I feel particularly at home in the realm of fantasy storytelling. Although I strive to create a unique atmosphere for each of my works, they all share the common goal of fostering a sense of wonder, inviting the reader to enter the world and make it their own. For me, the reading experience must go beyond the main story, transcending it and allowing the reader to invent their own stories within the universe created by the book."
