Keith Parkinson (October 22, 1958 – October 26, 2005) was an American fantasy artist and illustrator. A 1980 graduate of the Kendall School of Design, Keith Parkinson spent five years working for the role-playing game company TSR, illustrating books, magazine covers, calendars, game boxes, and assorted supplements for Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Gamma World, and Amazing Stories. He then decided to go freelance and spent seven years designing novel covers for Terry Goodkind, David Eddings, Anne McCaffrey, Orson Scott Card, Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, C.J. Cherryh, Terry Brooks and many others. He won numerous awards including the Chesley Award two years in a row (1988 and 1989) for best cover illustration.
Parkinson moved into game design in the 1990s, and co-designed the collectible card game, Guardians. Parkinson died of leukemia in 2005, just four days after his 47th birthday.
