Paul Dainton has been a professional illustrator for over 20 years and lives in the UK. Through the years, he has become an internationally acclaimed artist. In addition to illustration, he specializes in concept art and design.
Even as a young boy, Paul Dainton was drawing cartoon characters. At university, he studied art, discovered new styles and diversified his illustration practices, before working as a freelance artist for several years.
He then joined Games Workshop, where he accumulated over 20 years' experience. Games Workshop is a British manufacturer of miniature wargames. Here, he worked on games such as Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar. Over the past five years, he has even become head of the Warhammer 40,000 art team.
As well as being an illustrator and art director at Games Workshop, Paul Dainton is an illustrator at Cmon Games, a publisher of great tabletop games. He has also designed covers for the illustrated book publisher Black Library – a subsidiary of Games Workshop.
Sketch.Box: Paul Dainton is a sketchbook dedicated to Paul Dainton's art.
