After studying at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris, Olivier Ledroit became an illustrator, collaborating with scriptwriter Froideval to create Les Chroniques de la Lune noire. He then adapted Philip K. Dick's Ennemis mortels and created La Porte écarlate for Soleil. With Mosdi, he signed Xoco, then moved into dark fantasy with Requiem, chevalier vampire. His works, notably Wika, blend fairy tales and steampunk universes, and he stands out for his direct color work, becoming a major figure in 1990s comics.
