Carter Goodrich is a renowned American illustrator and character designer, best known for his work in animation and children's book illustration.
Originally from Rochester, New York, he began his career as an editorial illustrator. His drawings have been published in prestigious magazines such as The New Yorker, Time and The New York Times. In particular, he made a name for himself with his covers for The New Yorker, renowned for their sensitivity and humor.
He then turned to animation, where he excelled as a character designer. He has worked on many major animated films, including Shrek (2001), Monsters & Co (2001), Madagascar (2005), Ratatouille (2007), Despicable Me (2010) and Brave (2012).
Alongside his film career, Carter Goodrich is the author and illustrator of several critically acclaimed children's books, including Say Hello to Zorro! and We Forgot Brock!
The artist's work has won numerous awards, including two gold medals from the Society of Illustrators.
