Paul Dainton was Games Workshop's most prolific artist during the 4th and 5th editions of Warhammer 40K. His drawings adorned army books and codexes, and could even be found every time a new box of units was purchased. This made him an emblematic Games Workshop artist. His artistic style drew on the John Blanche legend's sense of abstraction, but added realism to the haze of battle.
