Ukraine 2022-2024: Diary of an Aid Worker is the 9th book by the British multi-nominated artist photographer Mark Neville.
This book was first planned as a Kickstarter crowdfunding project. With no reason, Kickstarter suspended this campaign.
We are not going to stop here, and continue the pre-order campaign on our online shop!! Ukraine needs help and the Western world needs to take action.
This book is a beautiful photo book and an essential testimony, it is also a call to action for the West, a meditation on trauma, a tool kit of vital information for the Ukrainian audience about where to access support, and a reconfiguration of the roles both of the photo book and the photographer.
“All of us in the West are engaged in the war already, whether we accept it or not, with an enemy we cannot negotiate with and who will not stop at Ukraine. By saving Ukraine we save the world and our children.” - Mark Neville
The goal of this campaign is to encourage international audiences to re-engage with Ukraine and finance the printing of 1000 books which we will distribute for free to schools, churches, military bases, hospitals and psychiatric clinics in Ukraine, encouraging people who are suffering to come forward and receive mental health support.
Postcode Ukraine will also send another 1000 books to politicians throughout the US and Europe as Mark previously did with his former book Stop Tanks with Books . He sent out 750 complimentary copies just before the invasion became a full-blown war, to a target audience of diplomats, politicians, the super-rich, celebrities, and NATO and EU members - as a call to action.
