About TRIBUTES: HR GIGER

Together with the HR Giger Estate, we bring you a book that is true to the spirit of Hans Ruedi Giger (1940-2014) and offers additional insight into his life through anecdotes from those who called him a friend and worked with him for many years. In this publication, we are not seeking to highlight the movies he has worked on (most notably the ALIEN franchise, for which he created the xenomorph). Still, we want to focus on the body of work he made and how it has influenced artists around the world, whether through the exploration of a new medium or simply through the groundbreaking style that has become his distinctive signature.

We all know tribute albums where bands perform songs of iconic artists to show how much they admire and respect them. Imagine this book the same, but with art. With a cover design by Andrea Chiampo, we are featuring the artwork of over 100 artists. You will also discover interviews with Igor Cavalera, the late HR Giger himself, members of Blasphemy, Death Worship, Conqueror, and others, as well as essays from musicians, artists, longtime collaborators of the master, and anecdotes from encounters with him.
