About Codex Obscurus
CODEX Obscurus is a collective art book featuring the work of 145 artists from around the world. Their artwork depicts a range of material, including folkloric themes from the artists’ home countries or their own interpretations of the occult.
Spiridon Giannakis, who initiated the project, was determined to make this book as aesthetically pleasing as possible. To achieve this, he called on Viktor Pushkarev, who created the entire CODEX universe: typography, cover design, and even hand-made prints (linocut and gold leaf).
The book's A4 format means it will fit easily into your bookcase. The imitation leather hardcover features hot stamping, beautiful embossing, and subtle gilding. Inside, you will find 304 pages printed in color on 150g Arctic Munken paper.
The right-hand pages are reserved for illustrations, while the left-hand pages contain descriptions and other accompanying text. This gives each work of art its own space to breathe and leave a deeper impression on the reader. In short, the cover, interior, and finish of CODEX Obscurus make it a unique item that you must have in your home!
