About the artist :

Jean-Pierre GIBRAT is a French cartoonist and scriptwriter born in Paris in 1954. Initially known as a cartoonist, in 1997 he began writing his own stories with the release of the diptych Le Sursis with Dupuis. His reputation as a colourist and illustrator preceded him, and now it's his pen and writing that the public are discovering and admiring.

Summary of the series Le vol du corbeau, from which the poster design is taken:

Nothing prepared Jeanne, a communist activist who had joined the French Resistance, to meet François, an irrepressible and cynical thief. Even less so that she would have to flee with him to escape being hunted down by the French police and the Gestapo. In the France of June 1944, where roundups and denunciations are still the order of the day, their destinies will become closely intertwined... for better or for worse. (Published by Dupuis)
