About The Mini Encyclopedia of Monsters
Come and meet 31 classic monsters from film, literature, and popular culture, playfully reimagined by the great Stan Manoukian!
A stunning and imaginative look at horror films and novels, featuring portraits inspired by Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Stephen King’s classic It.
From Bigfoot to Edward Scissorhands, the Addams Family, and Dracula, Stan Manoukian pays a clever tribute to the villains of horror films and slasher movies.
About Stan Manoukian
Stan Manoukian is a French artist known for his works, the vast majority of which depict... monsters. His drawings, created almost exclusively in black and white, along with his linework—which is reminiscent of the Lowblow movement—make him an illustrator with a style that is instantly recognizable.
In 2007, he set himself the challenge of drawing one monster a day. This challenge spanned three years and led to the publication of a collection, Diary of Inhuman Species (Ankama, 2009). Other works have since been published by Glénat and Delcourt. He has also published six books with Caurette.
