About Species (Vol. 1)
Species (Vol. 1) is a collection of drawings featuring unknown creatures, invented by Stan Manoukian. These creatures range from the strangest (who will be more than happy to eat you alive if you ever cross their path) to the cutest (who will snuggle up next to you in bed and probably spend the whole night snoring in your ear)!
This is a must-have bestiary, where you will meet your new best friends! The artist’s inimitable style shines through on every page of this little book, which, despite its lighthearted illustrations, packs a punch. Monsters galore are depicted in all sorts of innocent situations, and we instantly grow fond of them...

About Stan Manoukian
Stan Manoukian is a French artist known for his works, the vast majority of which depict... monsters. His drawings, created almost exclusively in black and white, along with his linework—which is reminiscent of the Lowblow movement—make him an illustrator with a style that is instantly recognizable.
In 2007, he set himself the challenge of drawing one monster a day. This challenge spanned three years and led to the publication of a collection, Diary of Inhuman Species (Ankama, 2009). Other works have since been published by Glénat and Delcourt. He has also published six books with Caurette.
His work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions, notably in Japan, the United States, and throughout France and Europe.
