About the book set

The book Monograph highlights Julien Delval's paintings and illustrations. As most of the artist's works are large in size, this book has chosen to highlight many of their details. This will allow you to enjoy the full richness of Julien Delval's art.

The book Studies reveals in detail the "machinery" behind each of his visions. Inside, you will find the artist's sketches, studies, composition research, his personal regrets and intimate travel journals.

About Julien Delval

Julien Delval was born in 1972. After studying decorative arts, he learned his craft as an illustrator working in the role-playing game industry (for Multisim Publishing). The connections he made there led him to create numerous covers for adult and children's novels.

Today, the artist is still involved in the gaming world (notably with the publisher Days of Wonder), but he mainly devotes himself to personal projects. He depicts ancient, mythological, and fantastical worlds, inspired by classical painting and 20th-century imagery.

Julien Delval is supported by the Daniel Maghen Gallery
