About Sketch.Box: Paul Dainton
Paul Dainton is the sixth artist we have featured in the Sketch.Box collection, and we are delighted about it. You will be too! His art is rich in color and emotion, but also in the smell of battle and the heat of blood. Immerse yourself in drama and action with every turn of the page.
About artist Paul Dainton
Paul Dainton was one of Games Workshop’s most prolific artists, having worked on several editions of the Warhammer 40K game. His illustrations graced army books and codices, and could even be found inside every new unit box. This made him an iconic artist for Games Workshop. His artistic style draws on a sense of abstraction, much like the legendary John Blanche. However, he also manages to incorporate realism into the hazy atmosphere of battle. His work generally focuses on a central character surrounded by a “gritty” setting.
About the Sketch.Box collection
The Sketch.Box collection is an exclusive and unprecedented project that Caurette and Spiridon Giannakis have launched together. Their goal is to collaborate with artists to create an incredible collection of sketchbooks. Each book will showcase the talents of an extraordinary illustrator and delight art collectors and connoisseurs alike. It is a precious opportunity to be part of this project, and we are very excited about it!
