Do you know what happens to books that are accidentally damaged (either during printing or on their journey to the publisher/bookstore)? 🚛
It is simple: they are sent to be pulped and recycled into paper pulp, as they are considered unsellable. In concrete terms, last year, more than 25,000 tons of books (between 100,000,000 and 150,000,000 books) were pulped in France. 🗑️
At LiberDistri, we want to fight against these sad figures. Since we started our business, we have decided never to resort to pulping. For more than 10 years, we have been storing hundreds of damaged books, and last August, we organized our very first sell-off with the aim of giving them a second life. This enabled more than 200 books to find a new home. 🏠
Today, we are delighted to repeat the operation! This time, we will be offering two to three times as many titles, including many that are out of stock and in high demand. The event will take place for a limited time: from January 29 to February 8, 2026. ⏳
