This is the French translation of Ricardo Cavolo's graphic novel El Desorganismo de Daniel Johnston which was originally published in 2013. Translation by Clémentine Moncla.

The Disorganism is a translation of Ricardo Cavolo's first graphic novel, El Desorganismo de Daniel Johnston, Edicions de Ponent, 2013, by Daniel Johnston.

Ricardo Cavolo was inspired by real events to tell the story of American singer and artist Daniel Johnston, and he did this beautifully, with an organic dreamlike quality. The book is a colourful tribute to a living myth, to the trajectories of a winding life and fighting spirit in the face of life's obstacles; D. Johnston has suffered from bipolarity since his youth. His work is therefore at the crossroads of several arts (music, drawing, painting) and several very current societal themes (social exclusion, mental illness, celebrity, cultural industry).

Among all the hats he wears, Ricardo Cavolo appears as one of the most international Spanish artists of this decade.

His murals can be seen in the world's major cities (Montreal, Moscow, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Barcelona, etc.) and his illustrations adorn many books published in the Spanish and English-speaking world. He is the author of several books published in Spain (Lunwerg, Edicions de Ponent) and the United States (Two Dollars Radio).
