About the book Postcard from Vienna

Postcard from Vienna is the first book in Dave McKean's “Postcard from” series. Based on original drawings made in Vienna between December 2005 and January 2006, this book is an intimate visual notebook, composed of sketches, graphite studies, ghostly figures, and handwritten notes.

The experimental drawings that make up this work give it a real “workbook” feel that will delight McKean collectors. More broadly, this book will appeal to all illustrators, graphic designers, and comic book authors.
