About Julie Mellan

Born in Annecy in 1988, Julie Mellan is an illustrator. As a child, she was fascinated by the animals in Disney classics and Beatrix Potter’s stories; then, as she entered her teens, by the characters from the Blacksad series.

For nearly ten years, she has published numerous children’s books in France and internationally, notably with Penguin Random House (The Last Rabbit), Lire c’est partir (La Moufle), MK Kids Books (Tizzy Throws a Fizzy), and Daniel Maghen (Les géniales inventions de Léonard le renard).
