This is the third volume of our new Sketch.Box collection, an unprecedented and exclusive project that Caurette and Spiridon Giannakis set up together, working with artists to create a collection of sketch books. Each individual book will showcase the talents of one amazing illustrator. This is a rare opportunity and one that we are extremely pleased to collaborate on! Each book will bring joy to art collectors and connoisseurs.
Our third artist to be featured in the successful Sketch.Box series is Swedish award winning concept artist and art director, Björn Hurri He is skilled in rendering the fantastic images lurking in his extraordinary imagination (to know what we mean, check out Björn Hurri's previous books, Oro and Abominations!). The benefit of a sketch is its immediacy and nearness to the viewer, and Björn's character sketches each have a quality of closeness, some even appear to loom! Other anatomy sketches reveal a sensitivity and gentleness that evoke vulnerability and intimacy.
Björn Hurri is an award-winning concept artist and art director, originally from Sweden, now living in Latvia. He has worked for all major publishers, including among them games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Alien Isolation, God of War 4, Dishonored, League of Legends, and many more.
