The studio captures all the creative energy that goes into the pre-production of a game or film, archiving it as a portfolio book. These hardcover project summaries sparked a lot of interest, and the time was ripe to publish a comprehensive overview of their work, allowing people to add it to their collection of inspiring art books.

The book showcases a selection of their professional projects from various fields in the entertainment industry (including character and creature designs, environments and set design, keyframe illustrations for films and games) as well as experimental personal work from the studio members. Pixoloid studios presents you 200+ pages worth of inspiring artwork, thus we learn about their workflow, gaining an insight on how they get from the earliest sketches all the way to the finished concepts.

About the artists

Pixoloid Studios is a Budapest based concept design studio specializing on the pre-production and visual problem solving for projects of the entertainment industry (films, games, animation, advertising and publishing). They offer a wide range creative services from movie and game cinematic concepts, VR-experience projects, tabletop game and RPG book illustrations, but also doing marketing art and storyboards.

Despite their short history - the studio was established in 2015 - their client list includes companies like NBC, Imagine, Universal, Paramount, Netflix, National Geographic, Sony, Digic Pictures and Square Enix to name only a few. They’ve worked on more than 18 films and series, such as the six times Emmy Nominated The Alienist, the British Independent Film Award Nominee: Colette, the Hollywood blockbuster Robin Hood and Nat Geo’s popular documentary sci-fi series Mars.
