Born in 1976, ALFRED came into the world with a fixed idea: to tell stories in drawings. Completely self-taught, he began publishing with Éditions Delcourt in 1997, but it was in 2000 that David Chauvel suggested he explore new graphic and narrative directions with Octave , a children series. In 2004, ALFRED adapted Roland Topor's novel Café panique, fulfilling an old dream of his. A year later, with Olivier Ka, he produced Pourquoi j'ai tué Pierre, a comic strip that won the Prix du Public and Prix Essentiel at Angoulême in 2007.
ALFRED is not only a musician and actor, but also a bit of an adventurer, so he moved to Venice for three years. It's undoubtedly there that he found the inspiration for Come Prima, which received the prestigious Fauve d'Or at the 2014 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
ALFRED is also the author (among others) of Maltempo, Senso, Castelmaure and Le Désespoir du singe.
Discover the collection of drawings from ALFRED's morning notebooks, in a limited edition of 500 numbered and signed copies!
