In this book, you will discover maps made for games like Diablo, Final Fantasy, Horizon Zero Dawn, or for books like A Song of Ice and Fire.

We collected her favorite pieces and put them on 320 pages. She added her anecdotes and commentary, and even a little behind-the-scenes where she explains how she approaches the high art of mapmaking.

About the Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition features an alternative cover design with a marine blue sisal fabric and the logo debossed in metallic foil. The same foil is applied to the paper's edges. The Deluxe Edition also comes with a signed bookplate.

About Francesca Baerald

Francesca Baerald is a Traditional Artist and Cartographer from Italy, known for her works and maps published in books, video games, RPGs, and games like Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Warcraft, Diablo IV, Dragon Age, Game of Thrones, Dragonbane, Gloomhaven, and many others.

Watercolors, ink, acrylic, and oil colors are her daily tools and companions. From her studio in the Italian countryside, she loves to bring fantastical worlds to life through detailed maps and lively paintings, exploring them for companies such as Wizards of the Coast, Blizzard, Square Enix, Paradox Interactive, Fantasy Flight Games, Free League, Penguin Random House, and Dark Horse.
