Line & Mass is an art book filled with sketches and artwork created using traditional media. It presents a selection of works spanning the last 10 years. Throughout the chapters, Alberto Ruiz shows us some of his favorite drawings, his personal approaches, and tells us a few anecdotes about the creation of the works. The artist also shares notes he took during his classes, in the form of sketches and explanations, as well as drawings and other doodles. In short, this book gives you a comprehensive overview of his work and creative process, all in a 400-page tome!

About Alberto Ruiz
Alberto Ruiz was born in Ecuador and has worked as a freelance artist ever since moving to New York City as a teenager. He is the founder, president, and editor of BrandStudio Press, Trinquétte Publishing, and Xupuy Editions. He has spent more than 30 years in the fields of Illustration, animation, and graphic design as a production artist and art director. As a freelance designer, he has worked most notably for DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Nickelodeon, Hallmark Entertainment, VIACOM Networks, New York Magazine, and others.
