About The Fantastic Worlds of Frank Frazetta
Frank Frazetta was the undisputed master of Fantasy Art for 50 years, and has been called the 'Godfather of fantasy art'. His powerful paintings evoke a visceral reaction in all viewers. Since his death in 2010, his fame has only continued to grow. Frezetta's paintings depicting Tarzan, Conan, Vampirella, among many others, and his famous Death Dealer from 1973, depict fictional worlds and the characters that inhabit them: muscular, carnal and sensual.
This monograph is the most comprehensive ever devoted to the artist, which was produced in collaboration with the Canadian Museum of Natural History, the Frazetta family, and the main collectors of his work. Frank Frazetta's amazing and iconic art has been collected into one must-have volume.
About Frank Frazetta
Frank Frazetta was drawing regularly at age two, entered the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts at age eight, and started his comic book career at the age of 16. He produced paintings for mass market paperback editions of adventure books. His interpretation of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian visually redefined the genre of sword and sorcery, and had an enormous influence on succeeding generations of artists.
