The new volume in the #hardcover series is just around the corner! We launched the crowdfunding campaign on Saturday,...
They are talking about it
"I found [Bastien Lecouffe Deharme's work] truly sublime from start to finish. It's very dark, and skillfully blends drawing, painting, photography, and digital art. We see powerful characters, women who are naked or nearly so, in a gloomy and fantastical atmosphere. Death, crows, and the Catholic cross are recurring motifs in his work. I really liked his reinterpretation of a Klimt painting, which is much darker.
He brilliantly plays with contrasts to enhance the bodies. Vampires, fairies, magicians, apocalyptic worlds: he has a boundless imagination and undeniable talent. I am very happy to have discovered his work, it was truly magnificent."
"Through photography, painting, and drawing, we are immersed in [Bastien Lecouffe Deharme's imagination]. His digital creations, fantastical and phantasmagorical, are filled with allusions to the imaginary.
Horror, majesty, and dreamlike imagery can be found throughout the pages. We travel through medieval fantasy, among divinities, or even into futuristic universes in the company of legendary creatures or those invented by the author, men and women. Demons, knights, angels, beings we would never want to encounter—the creator offers us a magnificent fresco!"
