About the book Postcard from Prague
Postcard from Prague is the eighth title in Dave McKean's "Postcard from" series. This travel book illustrates the streets, people, and buildings of Prague. It was created from original drawings made between February 1 and 29, 2020, and then between March 1 and 14, 2020.
This book features only black and white works. Through his illustrations, McKean seeks to portray not only the beauty but also the almost magnetic aura of Prague. Indeed, this city is a "lodestone" that attracts "scientists, artists, alchemists, jewellers and glass blowers, lens makers and obscurantists, philosophers, historians and fabulists, conquerors, despots and chancers", in the words of the artist.
Like the others in the collection, this sketchbook will delight collectors, as well as all illustrators, graphic designers, and comic book authors.
