About Sketch.Box: Wouter Tulp
Wouter Tulp is the seventh artist to be introduced in the Sketch.Box collection, and we're delighted. In this book, you'll discover much of his work as an illustrator, from children's drawings to caricatures. You'll also see the variety of techniques he uses (paint, pencil, watercolor, etc.). In short, this book is a plunge into the heart of a very singular universe, so watch and be amazed!
About Wouter Tulp
Wouter Tulp is a character designer and illustrator based in the Netherlands. His art school graduation in 2001 marked the beginning of his career as a freelance illustrator. Since then he has worked as an artist for children’s books, educational books, commercials, editorial illustrations, and even caricatures. Gradually he started shifting his career toward concept art and moved on to working for studios such as Sony, Netflix, Paramount, and Skydance.
Besides his work as a character designer/visual development artist, he teaches several online courses on character design and painting. He loves to both paint and draw, and has never stopped sketching in sketchbooks, from which a selection of drawings can be seen in this book.
About the Sketch.Box collection
