NEYEF

Neyef is a French artist with Vietnamese roots from his grandmother, which play a major role in his way of approaching the world and how violence is not only in graphics but very real. He began drawing by copying Dragon Ball Z characters, pursuing his studies at the School of Arts Appliqués. He joined the publishing house Ankama, drawing spin-off manga inspired by the video game Dofus. He then published several comics there, alongside Florent Maudoux and Mathieu Bablet, exploring American culture, society, and politics with a very direct narrative style. In 2022, he wrote and illustrated Hoka Hey ! (Rue de Sèvres), one of the most notable comics of that year, which won the 2023 Canal BD Booksellers’ Award.
