Between 1945 and 1951, Peyo explored all the possibilities offered by his taste for drawing. He tried his hand at a wide variety of worlds: pirates, cowboys, Indians... He also draws for advertising, then, with the help of Franquin, he joins Le Journal de Spirou in 1952.
