Didier GRAFFET

Born in 1970, Didier Graffet is graduated from École Émile Cohl in Lyon. He started out as an independent illustrator in the world of role playing before producing covers of fantasy works. In 2001, he illustrated Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea novel, published by the Editions Gründ, and was awarded by the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire and a Jules Verne Award. He joined the Jules Verne Aventures studio for which he created several festival posters and took over the artistic direction of the documentary film Passage to Mars.
We also owe him the covers for The Witcher and The Wheel of Time published by Editions Bragelonne, the american reissues of The Children of Húrin and The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien under the supervision of Alan Lynch. He has also illustrated a Game of Thrones calendar in 2017, working closely with George R.R Martin.
In 2019 Bragelonne Editions dedicate him an artbook titled Effluvium, collecting a selection of more than 40 reproductions from his most beautiful works from these past ten years.

Many exhibitions of his works were putting on in museums and galleries.
