When Mole decides to go for a walk one beautiful spring morning he has little idea of the world that awaits in the Wild Wood! He meets brave Ratty, kind old Badger and the rascally Mr Toad, and together they go adventuring.
The Wind in the Willows is a must-read classic of children’s literature, written by the Scottish novelist Kenneth Grahame, published in 1908. This novel is a striking work, one of the best-known in the animal fantasy genre, and is famous for being set in the upper Thames Valley countryside. This unabridged large-format edition is beautifully illustrated by Christopher Dunn (more than 100 illustrations in total) whose watercolours offer one of the most beautiful interpretations of this timeless story of adventure and friendship yet.
About Chris Dunn
Chris Dunn is an English illustrator who works primarily in watercolour. He has worked with the BBC and The Times in the UK. His work has been exhibited in galleries in London (Bankside Gallery), Bath (Victoria Gallery) and Paris (Galerie Daniel Maghen).
The Wind in the Willows is Chris Dunn’s second book published by Caurette. The first, Léa Lapin et le concours de cabanes (Paisley Rabbit and the Treehouse Contest) — published in May 2021 — was a great success with booksellers and young readers. We are delighted to be able to continue to publish the magnificent watercolour work of this talented painter!
