Más información

André Juillard (born in 1948) is a French scriptwriter and comic strip artist. If he is a leading author of historical French comic strips from the 1980s and 1990s, he is best known for drawing the series Les 7 Vies de l'ÉpervierMasquerouge and Plume aux vents, all scripted by Patrick Cothias. In 2000, he took up the drawing of Blake and Mortimer. He has received numerous awards, including the Alpha'Art award for best French album in 1994 for Le Cahier bleu, the Grand prix de la ville d'Angoulême in 1996 and the Max und Moritz prize in 2006.

About the book:

André Juillard unveils the notebooks he has been making in the secrecy of his workshop for over twenty years. In 2006, Entracte was published, a biography in pictures in which the public discovered, at the same time as the backstage of his comic strips, another facet of the artist: a previously unknown work, made up of drawings, sketches and drafts that the author, day after day, makes for his pleasure.
But since 2006, the number of "free drawings" has literally soared! Devoting himself totally to this exercise which, he admits, is as indispensable to him as breathing, Juillard has filled dozens of notebooks with vibrant sketches, sometimes enhanced with colour, mostly representing female nudes. We can find his heroines: Ariane, Louise, Eve... But also his inspirations: photographers, painters, illustrators, or colleagues and friends...
