He is a writer, artist, and colorist born in Spain. He is best known for his work as a writer on Blacksad, a cult classic series that won the award for Best Art at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. 🏆

This rare, high-quality edition features over 200 illustrations by Juanjo Guarnido, 90% of which are from Blacksad. Most of them are little-known, previously unpublished, or have only been published in the United States.

For those who aren’t familiar with it, Blacksad follows a cat detective in an anthropomorphic world. Already spanning six volumes, the story is set in the United States of the 1950s, in an atmosphere reminiscent of American noir fiction.
